One out of sixty-eight people in America have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Generally, individuals with ASD struggle with communication, social interaction, and rigid thinking. These symptoms appear before the age of three. People with ASD have their own unique interests and way of connecting with others. Although ASD presents challenges, many individuals can still live happy and productive lives. Autism Spectrum therapies can help them achieve quality of life through behavioral modification, social skills training, and parenting tips. At PCD, we walk with families as they journey through the joys and demands of having a child with ASD.
