Finding the right therapist can be a bit like dating – it’s all about finding that perfect match. No two therapists are alike, and it’s important to choose someone who makes you feel understood, supported, and truly seen.
Clients often describe me as warm, non-judgmental, and safe. I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable to explore your thoughts and emotions, guiding you through your concerns with thought-provoking questions and gentle challenges. I believe that humor can be a powerful tool in the healing process, and I enjoy bringing a bit of lightness into our sessions when it feels right.
My specialty lies in supporting adult survivors of child abuse and trauma. I recognize the unique challenges and long-term impact that childhood experiences can have on your adult life, and I approach this work with deep compassion and sensitivity. Together, we’ll navigate your healing journey, helping you reclaim your sense of self, worth, and purpose.
My approach is client-centered and feedback-informed. I regularly check in with my clients about how they’re feeling throughout the process and within our therapeutic relationship, ensuring there’s always a safe space for open and honest feedback.
I’m passionate about attachment styles, values work, Enneagram personality types, communication styles, and building healthy relationships. I work closely with my clients to deeply understand who they are, guiding them from a place that aligns with their values and beliefs. As an LGBTQ+ ally, I’m committed to ongoing learning, recognizing my role as a straight, cisgender woman, and I enjoy working with both men and women across the lifespan. Couples are also welcome!
I hold a BA in Psychology from Concordia University Ann Arbor and an MS in Professional Counseling from Concordia University Wisconsin.
In my free time, I cherish moments with my husband and two daughters. I love binge-watching shows and movies, tackling jigsaw puzzles, enjoying long walks, barre fitness, savoring good food and coffee, and soaking up the Colorado sunshine. I’m originally from Michigan and have called Colorado home since 2013.
