Laura Reid – MSW, LCSW
I believe strongly that every individual has beautiful and amazing strengths. I also believe that every person experiences pain and suffering in life. During our time together it is my hope to cultivate a time and space to explore that pain and use the strengths you have to live freely in that suffering. I find it an honor that you trust me to share this time and space with you. I am a person of faith and that does impact my approach to others, most importantly the belief that we are all loved and not alone. I understand that a person’s faith is individual and extremely important. I welcome and am open to ALL faiths and beliefs as well as those with no identified faith.
I have over 10 years experience working with adolescents, families and older adults. I work with people living with anxiety, depression, maternal mental health, experiences of trauma, spiritual trauma, eating disorders, and more. I love and value the work I do and hope you find our space together safe and
affirming. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches including Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Compassion Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.
I live in Northern Colorado with my family and our dog. I enjoy the outdoors, laughter and good food.
